UAE flag is everywhere
Yesterday evening I went to Abu Dhabi for a concert called Bach Reloaded with percussion by Ukrainian pianist Alexey Botvinov and Turkish percussionist Burhan Ocal. I knew Burhan Ocal from Turkey, he is great on the stage. Also I had one CD of Bach with oriental touch That's why I had an idea how it would be. The concert was great, like how I was expected. But yesterday the decoration all around Abu Dhabi was really unexpected for me. this was my first Abu Dhabi visit just before National Day.
Here in Dubai we have also decoration everywhere, like this small fountain at our neighbourhood but comparing to the Capital city, this is nothing. Unfortunately I was driving in a hurry to catch the timing so I couldn't have a chance to take any pictures of all those lightened high-rise buildings.
I am planning to go to the Beach Mall tonight to see fire dancers and other activities for the celebration of National Day.
I heard many strange world record attempts for 43rd National Day in Dubai on the radio. I hope I can find some of those activities in these days.

Man at work
I decided to post this picture after yesterday's post.
Yesterday I shared picture of people who were waiting for a job.
Today, we have a picture of people at work.
I took this picture last week. When I woke up that day, I noticed the light was amazing. I took some reflection pictures from the pond in the golf course. when there is no wind and nice light, the reflection is great. I will post it most probably this weekend.
Afterwards I saw these people. They were coming to construction for their morning shift.

Diwali in Dubai
I love festive season in Dubai.
it started with Eid Al Adha now we have Diwali, one of biggest festivals of India. Another name is also "light festival". The actual date was 23rd of October this year. I was planning to take a picture one of nicely decorated houses last couple of days but I couldn't find an opportunity.
Finally I took this picture yesterday from parking lot of our building. It is not the best shot, but still shows a bit about celebrations. You can check Diwali for more information.
Other upcoming celebrations in Dubai are Hallowen, National Day of UAE, Christmas and New Year. Ohh sorry I forgot Islamic New Year, We had also Islamic New Year in this festive season which was on 25th of October.
Here in Dubai there is always a reason to celebrate something. The most beautiful part is everybody celebrate everything. :)
Happy belated Diwali..

Hazy Dubai
In these days, weather is hazy. It is typical in summer. The sky looks grey and the view is not clear.
I took this picture yesterday at sunset. I don't like taking pictures in this type of weather..

Flame tree at The Greens
This is the season now, every May, these trees became red and till July they keep their flowers.
Its called flame tree. if you check wikipedia, you can see flame tree may refer different types of trees in different region.
I am not specialist on trees but according to Mr. Google, I guess we have Delonix Regina here in Dubai.
In fact, the beauty of tree is more important than the botanical name :)

Q for the Queen & King
I know, the question is: hey where is the Queen?
hey they are "The Queen and The King"
These twin buildings are illuminated in evenings, when their lights are on, top of buildings remind me crown.
I couldn't think any picture for letter Q better than this one.
The funny part, I had prepared my post for today. But at the last minute I realized after letter P there is letter Q before the Letter R. :)) so I had to think something Quickly to catch today's post.
I think my busy mind counted letters in Turkish and jump to the R just after the P. Yes, in Turkish Alphabet we do not have Q. When I am so tired, my mind just works in Turkish, there are some times it doesn't work even in Turkish...
