Happy Chinese New Year

Here we have a new reason for celebration. Chinese New Year.
I found this advertisement in Mall Of Emirates.
There were many Chinese decorations all around the mall. afterwards i learnt that there were also Chinese dance shows everyday at different schedule in the mall for the celebration of Chinese New Year.
This year MOE management has arranged some activities like festival nearly during one month.
I hope I will catch more on my next visit.

There are many different reasons in Dubai to decorate streets with temporary sculptures or lightening .. this is one of them. at night you will see the dress in light. decorated for the Dubai Shopping Festival which is just finished beginning of Feb.

Decoration

As you know, there are so many construction projects going on around the city.
when the shift is over, all workers going their accommodation camp with these buses. Some of them has more decoration, some has little like this one.

Merry Christmas to everyone...

This year, we had the tree, decorations, dancers, animators ect at Mall of Emirates as usual.
But this year there was something different.

Between 10-20 th of December, they collected wishes for this festive season.
Everyday there was one lucky winner. MOE delivered her / his wish as gift the next day.

Nice decoration from restaurant Saladicious but i am not sure how it will look like when they get grow.

during summer time, plus Ramadan, it is really difficult to go out and take new pictures.
I think, if this blog survive from this summer, it can go further :)

... at least for the next summer.

Monday Mural at Saladicious

A couple of days back I took this picture at Saladicious Restaurant. They had really nice decoration and delicious meals. this is wall paper has a texture like mozaic.

hanged moss plant balls

Yesterday evening, while we were entering the restaurant I didn't notice these hanged plants at the entrance of the restaurant. Most probably the reason was to focused on what to eat  :)

After we had delicious dinner and nice time, we noticed them on the way back. First I thought they were plastic but when I looked closer, it was obvious that they are real. I really like the idea. After small search on google I learned these hanged plants called as "Moss plant balls"

by the way the restaurant (Saladicious  )  has great ambiance & decoration with delicious dishes.

Last week, there was Giant Monopoly and now there is camel made from light at the Mall of Emirates.

This camel was taking everyone's attention.

Ramadan is starting in UAE tomorrow.

I like this mall especially this area because the ceiling is painted like sky :)

Hummingbird

I am not sure if that bakery shop was there earlier or it was just opened but for sure I just notice these hummingbird decoration at their wall today.

the bakery also called "The Hummingbird Bakery" the decoration very well suited with their name :)

I haven't tried their bakeries so no idea if the taste is good or not.

Friday Brunch

Taken at Shakespeare & Co. Cafe on Friday Brunch. In Middle East, our weekends are Friday & Saturday. and one of very common activities is brunch on Fridays.

Many hotels and cafes have special menu for Friday Brunch but at Shakespeare, they do not need anything special. They are famous with their food quality and the taste. they have most delicious cakes and sweets in Town. Also they are famous with their decoration. :)

Burj Al Arab

a picture from my archive, after last weekend it was difficult for me to recover. I could't thing something new for today. So here is a picture from Burj al Arab, iconic 7 stars hotel. Today I am planning to visit Art Dubai and tomorrow, most probably I will share with you something new :)

at the lobby there is a cascade decorative fountain. the small show change continuously.
staying at hotel is expensive and without a reservation noone allowed to enter main garden gate.
If you want to do something there is always an alternative way. We made a reservation for the afternoon tee at the roof, and we spent couple of hours :)

Butterflies in the Mall,

this is just small part of the decoration at Dubai Mall. Imagine big corridor and also big square full of these butterflies.you can see detail of one single part with zoom lens.
i would like to take another view from the mall for the whole story :)
I really like that area it gives positive energy just to see them and just for a moment you may forget that you are in a mall, actually world biggest mall, Dubai Mall.
