Artist on work
This weekend here in Dubai, we had another art exhibition, called World Art Dubai at Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC). Their motto is "art for all"
In their schedule there were forums, workshops, movie screening, exhibition and, art pieces with "affordable prices"
I was visiting Art Dubai or other festivals time to time on previous years but this event is new to me. When I checked their web site, many part were interesting including Celebrity Art
I was planning to visit this area in the morning and afternoon Comic Con with friends. When the weekend was so busy nothing happened as planned. I could only visit graffiti artist's work at the Yard. It was cool to see all artist on work but missed the exhibition itself.
Posted for Monday Murals. Please click here to see different graffiti art from all around the world.

Strange Day in Dubai
On Sunday, I was off for the Easter. It is not common holiday in UAE but thanks to our company I enjoy extra free day.
I decided to enjoy this free day for exploring around and taking some pictures.
First I went to police station to correct the insurance number on one report before fun part of the day. I failed. They said it is not possible.
Couple weeks back I saw some real graffiti around Al Quzz Industrial Area, I went over there, drove around up and down. I saw some places I haven't seen before. still I couldn't find that graffiti area.
After double failure, I told myself "No problem. I might not fixed the report or couldn't find the graffiti but there is still interesting things at the JBR." I remember one post on Instagram about Paint Ball Art. it was described that you are shooting with paint ball on a canvas and here you have art. :) It sounds different and it was saying available till 21 st of April. I went JBR just because of that, walked around. and again failure. Nothing was there.
While I was walking I saw some announcement about that day's activity. I looked for that as well I might be looking for that little bit early.
At the end of the day, I couldn't see anything I intended. On the other hand, I enjoyed many other things which I was not expecting to see. Like this new (at least it is new to me) frog statue at JBR. :)

Dubai Drums Camp
I posted two days earlier from the performance of Dubai Drums. Here is the camp area seen from the big sand dune. It was great view from this point.
Instead of taking the stairs on the other side of the camp, I climbed all over there with my equipment like kids do.
This ramp is favourite spots in the camp for kids; Climb till the up and let yourself slide to the down. :)
Definitely real fun.

Full Moon Desert Drumming
Since I moved to Dubai, I always hear about "Dubai Drums" and their special event in the desert at full moon.
Last couple of years, They were performing at 23rd April Children's Day activities in Dubai and I saw them in action. They are great and full of fun.
This weekend, we decided to go and try their desert drumming. They located in the middle of the desert. Good part is you can reach meeting point with your sedan car, and they are helping you reach to the camp with their 4x4 vehicles. Starting from 18.30 they have drum sessions everybody enjoy the rhythm, starting from the basic and getting more complicated.
It is total fun. They have corporate events with drum circles to strengthen group feeling in the team.
Please click their website and read about how it has started.

Sand Storm in Dubai
Yesterday we were living in a naturally sepia world..
When I checked outside from the window, I thought it is fog again. Afterwards I realized it is yellow and not fog.
The sand storm effected the visibility even in the parking area at under ground.
I saw traffic light also in blue colour instead of green. :)
it was totally strange day. I haven't seen this kind (with very fine particles) of sandstorm last 6.5 years.
News says, the sand storm may continue in the region during the weekend.

ghost of traffic
old post from my archive. I was trying to catch car's light in ghost effect. When I see it today, I like the effect of the red lights.
